Great Spring Break Road Trip 2012 - Day 3

On Tuesday we headed to the Museum of Fine Arts for the King Tut exhibit (it was fabulous).  From there we had lunch at Goode's BBQ, where we tried Texas bbq for the first time.  Not what we are used to but very good. After lunch we did a driving tour of Memorial Park, some of the older homes in Houston and we stopped at the "beer can" house.  Its original owner covered the house (and outbuildings, and mailbox, etc.) with beer can parts.  Very, very interesting.  We also drove by Reliant Stadium and the famous Astrodome!

A good portion of the afternoon was spent shopping....Pinto Ranch (a western store) and the Galleria (imagine HUGE mall!).  Following a break at home we had dinner at Goode's Seafood (oysters, shrimp, yummo!!!)  Then, we watched Baylor's women basketball team make history as they won the NCAA championship!
