What an amazing end to the 2009 football season was on Saturday!!! The "big game" was incredible and I was thrilled that the Gamecocks went out on a winning note. And, winning over Clemson at that!! We were there watching with our friends, Connie and Judah....having breakfast tailgated before the game and fire up the grill for brats and Bojangles fried chicken tailgating afterwards! What a great day to be a GAMECOCK!!
However, this time of year is bittersweet. I love, love, love football season and it is over. But, I was also ready. We love having tailgates but after a season of planning, packing, loading, setting up, taking down, entertaining, and so on and so forth, you get TIRED. And, by the game on Saturday that is exactly what we were. Although we will miss the fun weekends with our friends, we are ready for this year long break.....let's see about 9 months we'll start again....I guess that means the countdown is already on for 2010 and another great season for the Gamecocks!
