Governor's Race

This past week we had the opportunity to attend a fundraiser barbeque for Henry McMaster, SC's current Attorney General, who has put in his bid to run for Governor. The dinner itself was great --- BBQ, hash and fried chicken from Hudson's, but I was most impressed with McMaster and his family. First of all his wife is from Spartanburg, so that was bonus points from the onset! McMaster was friendly and humble as he visited with guests. It was an honor to have the chance to meet him. He addressed the crowd and focused simply on why he wants to be Governor and what he has to offer --- he is proponent of economic development for our state AND (the important one to me) EDUCATION! As a mother of children in public schools and a teacher in public schools in this state, having a Governor who does support public education is a HUGE point for me. I encourage you to look at Henry McMaster for Governor of South Carolina as this race begins!
