March Madness!

What a month this has been!  It started out (on the 1st) with the Color Run followed by Columbia's own Mardi Gras parade and festival, where one of my favorite high school/college bands, Drivin and Cryin played an awesome concert.  Ben got his first car...a former Modern truck.  He was also in two of his school's senior directed plays and he has a new girlfriend, Nicole.  Glenn and I attended a reception for 50+ year Gamecock Club members followed by a women's basketball game and the Columbia Museum of Art's annual gala (my ABSOLUTE favorite!).  This year's theme was "Geisha to Gatsby" and my very talented hairdresser gave me authentic 20s finger waves and curls!

We were joined by our friends Jan, Sheldon and Jennifer as well as the boys and Ben's girlfriend for the annual St. Pat's in 5 Points.  The boys were interested in the bands and we were all most interested in the people so we opted for VIP tickets which included a fantastic buffet meal and the opportunity to watch the goings on from the porch of Saluda's.  Unfortunately,  I had an accident on an uneven sidewalk on the way home resulting in a broken ankle. :(

This has meant watching a LOT of basketball, reading and laying on the couch for the last week!
