Boston - Arriving and Day One

Middle of October we went to Boston for Pest World!  This was my first Pest World trip and I LOVED it!  There were hundreds of industry people and many of our friends were there.

Glenn and I chose to fly out of Myrtle Beach on Tuesday night so we didn't get in to our hotel until after 1 a.m.  On Tuesday we were up for breakfast at the hotel and to say hello to our good friends, Rich and Andrea from Augusta.  Then all four of us met our other good friends, Adam and Gina from Pittsburgh for the Boston Duck Tour.  It was SO MUCH FUN!  We drove through and toured the city before the vehicle turned into a boat and we floated down the St. Charles River.  We were able to see a lot of the city in a short time while learning much about history.

After our tour we grabbed a snack and headed off to get dressed for the afternoon/evening events.  This started with a tour of the exhibition hall where every known pest vendor was set up.  From there Glenn and I joined his dad and Belinda, and several other friends from around the country for a dinner reception at the Lennox Hotel sponsored by one of their vendors.  Afterwards, Forshaw, a vendor out of Charlotte with whom we know a number of people, rented out Solas Irish Pub for a Pest World party.  Almost all of our pest control friends were there and we had a blast!

love spending time with our friends!

me and Andrea with the roving art...these girls were amazing!
I can't believe I ran into Nick! He is married to a sorority sister of mine and they moved away from SC about ten years ago.  I have not seen them since (they now live in Delaware) and ran into him in Boston in the exhibit hall.  He is now working for a pest control packaging company!  Small world!!
loved getting to Gina!
