As I type we are one week in the new house! (yay...and we are all still speaking!) And, I finally have wireless Internet again. We still have some kinks to work out (ie...our Ikea gas stove and adding electrial outlets to our den floor, hanging art, etc.) but for the most part we are 100% in, unpacked, organized and settled. WE LOVE IT!!!
Our new couch came in on Monday before we moved last Wednesday. And then on Tuesday the girls finished packing us, movers came on Wednesday (they started at 8:30 a.m. and we signed the paperwork for them to leave at Midnight), and the girls unpacked us on Wednesday and Thursday. In the meantime, a plethora of workmen have continued in and out of the house. We had to hire a second plumber and they were able to correct master shower plumbing, install our spa-like shower heads, rebuild the insides of the solid onyx pedestal sink in our powder room (brought from Glenn's grandmother's house) and repair Ben's tub nozzle, which shot clear across the tub the first time he turned the shower on! The electrician has been in to do more electrical work and still has a few things to finish up. And, some of Glenn's repair crew have been working on the microwave opening for our (hopefully) soon to be added drawer microwave! In spite of all the craziness though, I am so excited and thrilled to be here!
