Pre Christmas Trip to Hendersonville/Asheville

When I got out of school on the Friday before Christmas we headed off to Spartanburg to pick up Clay and then keep moving on towards Hendersonville. There we had dinner on Friday night with Glenn's parents at their home there. (They are visiting for December from Texas.)

On Saturday they treated us to a WONDERFUL day at Biltmore House in Asheville. The place was beautiful and we had a terrific trip. We did the audio tour of the house and learned so much about the house, the family and the area. After the house tour we headed off to Antler Village for lunch and walking through the shops. (We never could get a winery tour time that we could make, I guess this and the garden will have to wait for spring.) After returing and resting we headed off to Umi for the BEST SUSHI we've found (outside of Vegas). We ate a boat and about 3 canoes of sushi.

Sunday morning we slept in and then the Kuhn's came over for brunch. It was so good to see and spend time with them like always. After lunch we stayed around the house napping for most of the day. We ventured out for a late lunch at the local Mexican restaurant and then later in the evening had a great spaghetti dinner with the family.

We had to leave on Monday morning, but it was a wonderful trip!
