Halloween 2009

With Halloween being on a Saturday this year there were lots of options for things to do! We started our evening out at Drew and Kimberly's house where they had the yummiest sausage dip again (they always have it at events and I LOVE it!). The cutest thing was that one of their dogs was wearing a bowtie and the other a strand of pearls. It was too cute!

Then, we picked up Kat and Scottie and all of us headed to Carolina Walk (the condos this time, not the park where we tailgate) for a charity Halloween event. Other than watching the game was awful (because it was an awful game....although I learned today something *good* came out of it...watch for a post on that!) and the food was a little crazy (see next paragraph), it was a great time! We ended up having a huge group of our friends show up and the band was really good.

When we arrived the security guard gave me a parking space number on the eighth floor. When we got to the spot, a truck with a cooker was parked there. So, we had to park in the next spot. About 20 minutes after we arrived on the rooftop, all of the fire alarms went off. They didn't evacuate us so we assumed that it was just going off. A few minutes later, we hear sirens as the fire trucks have arrived. Apparently the cooker was not supposed to be in the parking garage and had set off the fire alarms...right next to my car!!! This resulted in the food not even being served until around 9:00 and even though it was good, it wasn't quite what we were expecting. They served (very wonderfully marinated) thick cut pork chops, but no knives!! The sides were rolls and some carrot/onion dish. The chops tasted great although we had to eat with our fingers.

We were trying to hex Tennessee, but obviously it didn't work!

These weren't costumes, but real firefighers. Funny though the one on the left's name was "HOTT"...how appropriate for a firefighter!

Corrina, me and Kat

It was fun to see all of the costumes! Some people, unlike me, were very creative!
