On our last day we started in Chartres where we visited Chartres Cathedral (home to the first labyrinth). Then, it was back to Paris! We visited Fragonard Parfumerie (of course, I bought a few bottles. Sweetest story ever: Ben came over and told me to pick out my favorite for him to buy me!), had dinner and then took the Metro to the Eiffel Tower. We braced for hours of waiting and were pleasantly surprised that in about an hour we were at the tip top in time for sunset!
As we were leaving the tower was lit up and at exactly 11 p.m. it began to twinkle! The PERFECT ending to a fabulous trip!
